ABOUT ME

Hi there! I’m Sierra Blaser, a fourth-year journalism student at the University of Arizona, graduating in Spring 2026. I grew up in Oxnard, California and moved to Tucson at 16, where I graduated from Sahuaro High School.

Throughout three internships with the Arizona Daily Star and my time as a reporter, editor and editor-in-chief of my college paper, I’ve discovered a passion for writing community features. I love meeting the creative, eclectic and sometimes downright quirky people who shape the place I call home. After graduation, I hope to continue telling stories that highlight the heartbeat of local communities.

When I’m not reporting, you can usually find me trying new recipes, exploring local restaurants, watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine or The Big Bang Theory for the hundredth time or spending time with friends and family.
